FCCV5 Ceramic Ball Valve
KOWOV manufactures the FCCV5 ceramic ball valve for lock hoppers, deslagging and pressure relief in coal-chemical, steel and polysilicon plants. It is designed for high-temperature, high-pressure and high-differential-pressure duties with fast-moving, particle-bearing media
- Size range
- DN25-300
- Pressure rating
- PN63-160 / Class 300-900
- Temperature range
- -40 to 456 °C
- Leakage
- No visible leakage (GB/T 26480 test)
Design and construction
Enlarged ceramic ball sized for the higher operating torque of high-pressure, high-differential-pressure duty
Scraper-type valve seat with broad sealing surface ensures consistent, long-lasting tightness even with abrasive slurries
Hard-sealing surfaces omit graphite and PTFE for high-temperature, corrosive media
Dovetail groove housing seal with a wide spiral wound gasket, designed to keep the body joint tight under pipeline stress and cyclic thermal shock
Leakage: no visible leakage when tested in accordance with GB/T 26480; each valve is supplied to the shutoff class specified in the order
“Live load” packing system maintains constant sealing pressure, automatically compensating for wear and extending packing life

Applications
Application examples

Polysilicon Industry: Silicon powder venting
Coal Chemical Industry: Coal powder pressure relief valves and regulating valves; slag lock hopper pressure relief and punch valves; quench water flow regulation; high differential pressure black ash water flow control
